THE MARRIAGE PLOT

Tendai Huchu

Tendai Huchu’s first novel, The Hairdresser of Harare, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim, and has been translated into German, French, Italian and Spanish. His short fiction in multiple genres and nonfiction have appeared in The Manchester Review, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, Gutter, Interzone, AfroSF, Wasafiri, Warscapes, The Africa Report and elsewhere. In 2013 he received a Hawthornden Fellowship and a Sacatar Fellowship. He was shortlisted for the 2014 Caine Prize. His new novel is The Maestro, The Magistrate & The Mathematician.

Blaize Kaye

Blaize Kaye is a writer and programmer from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His work has appeared in Nature, Fantastic Stories of the Imagination, and New Contrast.

Innocent Immaculate Acan

Acan Innocent Immaculate is a twenty-one-year-old Ugandan from the West Nile region. She resides in Kira with her mother and two sisters. She had her O'level and A'level education at Mt St Mary's Namagunga and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery at Makerere University. She is a part-time writer and the winner of the 2016 Writivism Short Story Prize.

WEDNESDAY’S STORY

Wole Talabi

Wole Talabi is a full-time engineer, part-time writer and some-time editor from Nigeria. His stories have appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Omenana, Lightspeed, Terraform, Abyss & Apex, The Kalahari Review, the anthologies Imagine Africa 500, Futuristica Vol. 1 and a few other places. He edited the anthologies These Words Expose Us and Lights Out: Resurrection and co-wrote the play Color Me Man. He likes scuba diving, elegant equations, oddly-shaped things and is interested in a variety of assorted nonsenses. He currently lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Lesley Nneka Arimah

Lesley Nneka Arimah was born in the UK and grew up wherever her father was stationed for work, which was sometimes Nigeria, sometimes not.

Her work has received grants and awards from Commonwealth Writers, AWP, the Elizabeth George Foundation, the Jerome Foundation and others. She currently lives in Minneapolis.
