It’s voting time for the 2021 Nommo Awards.  Final voting will close 31 August 2021.

This page provides you with links to short listed works that you might find difficult to get hold of. As an ASFS member you can read online (but not download) valuable works for your consideration. This page will be updated as new works are added.

To gain access to these works, you’ll need to fill in the Reader Request form and submit it online.

  • Innocent Chizaram Ilo's 'Rat and Finch Are Friends' was published by Strange Horizons in March 2020 (available online here).

  • Tiah Marie Beautement's 'The Bend of Water' was published by Omenana in Issue 15 in August 2020 (available online here).
  • Tlotlo Tsamaase's 'Behind Our Irises' was published by Brittle Paper in the Africanfuturism Anthology in October 2020 (available online here).
  • Tobi Ogundiran's 'The Goatkeper’s Harvest was published in The Dark magazine in September 2020 (available online here).

COMICS/GRAPHIC NOVELS:

Black Hut Comics have made their following titles available:

  3. TITAN
The Qintu Collab have provided their "Meanwhile..." (Graphic short stories about everday queer life in Southern and East Africa) published in 2019 (see attached below – fill in the Reader Request form form for password access).
