AZANIAN BRIDGES
Nick Wood
Nick Wood is a South African clinical psychologist, with over twenty short stories previously published in Interzone, Infinity Plus, PostScripts, Redstone Science Fiction, Fierce Family and AfroSF V1 and 2 (with Tade Thompson) amongst others. He has a YA speculative fiction book published in South Africa entitled ‘The stone chameleon’ as well as a debut novel ‘AZANIAN BRIDGES’ (NewCon Press: UK), currently shortlisted for a British Science Fiction Award for Best Novel (2016). Nick has completed an MA in Creative Writing (SF & Fantasy) through Middlesex University and is currently training clinical psychologists at the University of East London (UEL). AZOTUS, THE KINGDOM
Shadreck Chikoti
Shadreck Chikoti is a Malawian writer and social activist. He was listed by CNN as one of seven must-read African authors. He has won numerous literary awards including the 2013 Peer Gynt Literary Award with his futuristic novel, Azotus the kingdom and was recently nominated by the Africa39 project as one of the “most promising African writers under 40.” An excerpt from his futuristic satire, Azotus the Kingdom, was published in the Africa39 project anthology in October 2014. Chikoti’s work has also appeared in the Caine Prize anthology To See the Mountain and Other Stories (2011) and in the African short story anthology All the Good Things Around Us. Founder of the Story Club Malawi, a thriving space for literature enthusiasts, he holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication and Theology and has certificates in Journalism and Radio Communication. He lives in Malawi with his wife and children.

BLACKASS
A. Igoni Barrett
A. Igoni Barrett was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and lives in Lagos. He is the recipient of a Chinua Achebe Center Fellowship, a Norman Mailer Center Fellowship, and a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Residency. He is the author of two short-story collections and a novel entitled Blackass, which was nominated for the inaugural FT/OppenheimerFunds Emerging Voices Awards, the 2016 Kitschies’ Golden Tentacle Award, and the 2017 Pen Open Book Award.

Tade Thompson lives and works in the UK. He is Yoruba and has a background in medicine, psychiatry and social anthropology.

TATY WENT WEST
Nikhil Singh
Nikhil Singh is an artist, writer, musician and film-maker. Former projects include the graphic novels: Salem Brownstone written by John Harris Dunning (longlisted for the Branford Boase Award, Walker Books 2009) as well as The Ziggurat (Bell-Roberts 2003) by The Constructus Corporation (now Die Antwoord). His work has also been featured in various magazines including Dazed, i-D Online, Creative Review, as well as Pictures and Words: New Comic Art and Narrative Illustration (Laurence King, 2005). His novel Taty Went West was published by Kwani? Trust in 2015 and is due for publication by Jacaranda Books in late 2017, and Rosarium shortly thereafter.
